Samples

Artifex London’s sample policy:

Architects and designers often require samples for client presentations and project discussions. Artifex London (or its operating partner) does its best to fulfill this requirement by lending stone samples where it can on the understanding that they are returned afterwards. These are intended to be representative of the general characteristics of the stone only, and, since they are not laminated to glass, will not display translucency.

It is not possible to keep many samples in stock, rather they are procured from off-cuts of previous jobs, so please ask what is available to us at any given time.

As the project progresses, it is quite usual for there to be a further requirement for glass-laminated samples and/or architectural mock-ups. Artifex London will gladly commission these from its manufacturer and provide them at cost plus the cost of delivery and insurance. Not all companies have a policy of paying for samples but Artifex London would ask them to consider that the cost of producing bespoke glass-laminated mock-ups (especially if they happen to feature exotic stone only available in certain parts of the world), is not inconsiderable. The cost will be deducted from the order if the project goes ahead.
